The 1962 Braviarium SOP was the last official breviary published by the Order of Preachers.
It was promulgated by Master of the Order Michael Browne, O.P. on July 4, 1961, and incorporates the changes made by Pope St. John XXIII via his motu proprio Rubricarum instructum of 25 July 1960.
The 1967 English translation of the Dominican breviary, which was published by the Irish Dominican Province, is a translation of this edition, less the Office of Prime and Pretiosa.
